It's a wonderful thing when a poet finds his voice and uses it to splendid effect but sometimes it can be more wonderful to hear that voice in the process of discovering itself becasue then it's not so polished that it's predictable. In the voice I hear through your poetry there is enough curiosity to make genuine discovery possible and the way your pen expresses those discoveries makes what you write exciting. Congratulations on the glow of the spotlight.

I totally agree with what you said about The Doors movie. It wasn't a documentary,you're right. I know Ray Manzarek disliked Oliver Stone for the movie,though, As did Patricia Kenneally. But it's a great movie,and Val is agreat actor.

Thanx for your feedback on my poem;I'm glad you like it.:) As for your comments about The Doors movie,like I said,I like it as a movie. Another movie about The Doors is being made,have you heard about it? It's supposed to be more like a documentary maybe. They talked about it some on the forums on The Doors official website{http://www.thedoors.com} Some other Doors fans don't like Patricia{Jim's Pagan Wife} and they think she exaggerated her relationship with Jim. Of course,I don't know. My Husband and I had a Handfasting too-the same kind of wedding Jim and Patricia had. Of course as you may know-a Wiccan wedding. My Husband isn't Pagan though but he agreed to the Handfasting which was great of him.:)


Jim left everything to his longtime girlfriend,Pamela, & he moved to Paris with her as you may know. That is where he passed and is now buried. Pamela passed on my birthday-April 25th,but before I was born,and the weird thing is,I believe she was 27 too as Jim was. Jim seemed like a interesting person,and of course he was also very talented as we know.:) It would have been cool to have met him.

The Path of a Creative Thinker at CTI

CREATIVE THINKERS INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES




1. Membership at CTI is free and open to all those interested in either the production or appreciation of the creative arts, to include literature, visual art, dance, music, film, spiritual theory, the social sciences, philosophy, general humanities, scientific inquiry, education in general, and other disciplines intended to enhance the quality of life for all humanity.

2. Materials posted by Members of CTI are their sole responsibility and not that of CTI management or any other member of the CTI site.

3. While recognizing that the work of creative artists is often controversial by its very nature, CTI prohibits and discourages the posting of any overtly obscene and intentionally inflammatory material. These include overt pornography, racist diatribes, religious slander, and any postings promoting discrimination against or the oppression of other human beings.

4. In the interest of stimulating creative growth, we encourage dialogue and even debate. However, Members should avoid leaving intentionally offensive or antagonistic remarks on the pages of Fellow Members. We can disagree and still remain a harmonious community.

5. Explore, grow, share, and enjoy your creative success.

Please remember, these guidelines are likely to evolve as the site itself continues to evolve and develop. We welcome and encourage your input. After all, yours are some of the best minds on the planet so we would be very foolish not to listen to what you have to say.

Vann is an acclaimed artist who was fortunate enough to receive some of his first art instructions from recognized masters of the Harlem Renaissance.
